Alchemy – “Self-Perfection as our True Purpose”
The ultimate goal of all
spiritual traditions of the Sacred Sciences is self-perfection, as a
growth process consciously undertaken to develop yourself to your
highest potential through self-mastery. Self-perfection begins by consciously creating an
ideal of yourself by becoming aware of, choosing and consciously
expressing your virtues. Your ideal is created by recognizing your souls
patterning in terms of potential for expression through talents, gifts,
unique abilities and personal interests. Your soul’s purpose is revealed
through what you have a strong desire for.
Alchemy is a process of
human transformation that works holistically by changing how we appear
in the world, commonly called “shape-shifting”. The core essence of our
soul becomes fully expressed, greatly facilitating our soul’s growth at
the eternal level. The dissolution is the break-down of old patterns
created and maintained through repressed feelings and emotions,
purifying them, allowing for a new pattern to become established in
their place. What’s referred to as the “chemical marriage” of the
masculine and feminine is achieved by the qualities we embrace that
stimulate the endocrine glands to saturate our system with different
types of hormones, which literally changes the chemistry of our bodies
as a direct correspondence. By changing our perceptions, we change our
body chemistry, which ultimately shifts our bio-molecular structure,
modifying it to a new form. Like a chemical upgrade that equips us to
handle a higher vibration as an elevated state-of-mind. In this, our
entire system is spontaneously transformed to a higher form of
expression.
To transform the world,
is to transform our self, which is the only thing we actually have
control over. We become the change itself by demonstrating it. We create
a path for it to express through by first choosing then acting on our
ideas. Begin by taking small steps consistently that bring new and more
intelligent practices into play in your daily life-style. We practice
them until they become natural and we do them automatically. Change
isn’t about huge acts, but rather small ones taken diligently with
reason. Develop yourself to be a living example of the answer as a
higher idea. Once you align yourself with an idea that you feel an
affinity for, ask yourself how you can support that idea fully by your
own actions. Redesign your life-style to express those ideas in very
real and practical terms.
Possible steps to develop new ways of living:
v
Quit sitting your children in front of video games, TV and
the internet, and actually spend time with them. Help them with their
homework, work on a project together, play a game, talk about things,
cook a meal together, work in the garden, read a book together, ride
your bikes, take a walk, go get an ice-cream cone, etc.
v
Instead of watching TV in the evenings, listen to music,
dance in the middle of the living room floor, have a family discussion
about anything, share your day in terms of ideas and realizations, learn
something together, read out-loud to each other, work in the garden,
give each other a foot massage, take a walk after dinner in the sunset,
go down to the beach and walk barefoot in the surf, etc.
v
Trade in your over-sized vehicle for a more reasonable,
economical one.
v
Avoid buying products in plastic containers. They are NOT
biodegradable.
v
Drink filtered water with no fluoride. Do NOT buy bottled
water. Invest in a filter or buy filtered water in refillable glass
containers.
v
Quit watching the news. Get it from a source where you can
scan and choose what you want to listen to.
v
Avoid negative people who complain, criticize, moan
constantly or put people down.
v
Get off of social networks and back into real life. Only
spend reasonable amounts of time on internet activities.
v
Intentionally choose your mood every morning, and create
it deliberately. Then maintain it as you walk through your day. Don’t
let others change your mood.
v
Become aware of the stories that you tell, what you talk
about, and how you talk about it. Learn to view yourself objectively, as
if you were another person. This will help you to become self-aware.
v
Whatever advice you find yourself giving others, is the
same advice you need to answer your own questions. Learn to take your
own advice. You are wiser than you think.
v
Notice anytime you feel reactive, hurt or annoyed, then
witness your own story as a thought process that comes up in response to
it. Don’t judge yourself, just notice what it is. This will help you to
become aware of your own internal dialogue.
v
Set out everyday to be a positive influence on everyone
that you meet, no matter who they are or how brief your encounter with
them is. Look for the best in any situation and focus on it and talk to
it.
Think of different ways
you could alter how you live your everyday life, and teach yourself new
habits that are more meaningful, enriching and productive. Become a
conscious creator in your own life.
